We are changing the way we run so we can continue to safely provide you with Womens Health care
Warrnambool Obstetrics and Gynaecology knows that despite COVID-19 the women of our community will continue to experience health issues and we are dedicated to ensuring our service remains available for as long as it is safe to do so.
As a result, you will notice there will be some changes to the way our clinic runs so that we can ensure both the safety of our patients and the safety of our staff.
Our changes are designed to reduce the risk of either you or our staff getting coronavirus.
Telehealth and Phone calls
You may be called by one of our staff and offered a video or a phone call instead of a face to face visit.
This is to limit face to face risk of sharing the coronavirus.
Video and phone consultations will be discounted during this time.
If after your initial consultation an examination or procedure is required we will schedule a visit to the rooms. this will be a shorter more directed visit.
The hygiene expectations within our rooms will be at a higher expectation.
We are cleaning our facilities significantly more frequently throughout the day. Please do not be offended if the area in which you were siting is wiped down after you have touched it. This is for the safety of our community.
We expect that you use the alcohol gel on your arrival to our clinic and on your departure.
We also ask that you refrain from unnecessary touching of objects within our clinic.
20 min appointments
We have always had a 20min appointment maximum however we have been relaxed in sticking to this time in the past.
To limit the medical staff exposure we will be specifically limiting face to face appointments to a 20 min time frame.
We apologize in advanced if this feels rushed at times
Arrive on time
To limit the number of people that will be waiting in our waiting room we ask that you arrive on time or, if you are a new patient no more than 5 min early.
We understand that because of the changes we have been required to implement that there might be times that your appointment feels rushed. We apologise if this is the case and if you require a second appointment or have further questions please let our staff know and we will call you to answer further questions you may have.
There will possibly be a period of time that our clinic will have to close all face to face visits over this pandemic. We will endeavour to continue to provide our services and advice for our via video and telephone consultations until we are able to return to normal practice.
At Warrnambool Obstetrics and Gynaecology our friendly team of staff are here to care for and make you as comfortable as possible during your treatment with us.
